The XL950 has been discontinued...Replaced by XL 1050. NOTE: Use 18-gauge color-coded thermostat cable for proper wiring. All unused thermostat wire to be grounded at indoor unit chassis ground only. Shielded cable may be required if system interference is experienced. Ground only one end of the shield to the system chassis. Do not run wires in the same bundle with HVAC wires. ALWAYS KEEP AWAY from high voltage wiring to avoid interference.
