This is a fresh cut from my Monstera Esqueleto. It has two nodes, loads of healthy roots, AND an active growth point, so no crazy long wait before you see your plant growing!
I just cut it today (7/21) and pictures were taken IMMEDIATELY after cutting. The cut end will be allowed to callus and then be sealed with wax. I will pot it in a chunky mix to keep it happy until it finds its new home. I can ship bare root, in damp sphagnum, or in the little pot with soil that I plant it in. It is buyer's choice.
Leaves do have some cosmetic damage (see pictures), but it is otherwise perfectly healthy. I will treat the day I ship with insecticidal soap and Deadbug Brew to minimize any hitchhikers to your collection, however I personally use a combination of predatory mites, nematodes, and other bugs to keep my greenhouse as pest-free as possible. Please be aware that some of these may be present on the plant or in the soil.
