This is an original fountain pen with Tsugaru Nuri (Tsugaru lacquerware) applied at the Hirosaki workshop, based on the Century (Platinum Fountain Pen), a new ideal fountain pen named after the number representing the altitude of Mount Fuji, aiming for the highest quality in Japan.

Tsugaru Nuri is a traditional craft that originated in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, and is one of Japan's most advanced traditional crafts. Its techniques, delicate painted patterns, and moist texture have earned high praise both domestically and internationally. In July 2017, it was designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Japan.
